Kelvin Thomas
About
Kelvin, hailing from the small town of Groveton, Texas, was raised in a musical family with a deep love for Motown, gospel, and blues. At the age of eight, he discovered his passion for music when he first laid hands on a dusty drum set in church. Since then, he's been drawn to percussion, songwriting, and guitar, influenced by a diverse range of artists from Explosions in The Sky to John Mayer.
Moving to Dallas after high school, Kelvin immersed himself in the local music scene, performing at open mic nights and sharing the stage with notable artists like Leon Bridges. He's also made a mark as an American Idol contestant, winning the 2019 Bluelight Songwriter Competition, and touring across Texas.
Despite facing personal tragedy with the loss of his mother, Kelvin remains driven to create and share his music with the world. His EP "Love, Faith, and Heartbreak" and single "Hold Me" are just the beginning of what promises to be a remarkable journey.
